What are
Flashscapes?
A Flashscape, is a work of art that has been created in a flash,
by moving slightly and disturbing some surface, the flash of
influence then creates a new record of that influence, which is
then photographed, and edited by computer software and then
painted utilizing, effects, filters, etc and defining techniques
to create a new image which still exists on the computer or
website. It then becomes available to print, like giclee or
serigraph. It's form of medium and size is variable and
therefore a mock up for painting or designed surfaces, for
interior decoration, community projects, and individuals
collectible.
The Yellow image is called yellow on yellow and can be as large
as there is space to create it. These images are at once like
architecture and paintings or wall furniture, could be in any
medium: Acrylics, Oil Paint, Terra Cotta Clay, etc. the size
could be as small as an miniature collectible card of 2.5 x 3.5
card. 100 x 80 feet. I created one design which was a proposed
10 feet high and 50 feet long. This could have been painted in
mosaics, enamel or as a cloisonné. |
