Welcome to M.I.A.C. | the Interactive Media Art Contest for visual art, video, animation, sound, music, essay, poetry and fiction, interactive global art event in which contemporary creative cyber members are invited to show works on G.A.M.'s four virtual showrooms.

Submit files that run on both Mac OS and Windows. Forward the works as online or attachment files. Submit .Jpeg, .GIF, .PDF, audio, video, still images, text, Flash, MIDI, sprites, VR panoramas, and all disk-based media, media accessed over a network, or streams of real-time data online projects.
The organizers assure the submitted works for one year display on GAM virtual showrooms.

 

Forms and File Size

Entries may be submitted in the following formats:

 

a. Visual Arts

Drawing | Painting | Sculpture | Printmaking | Design | Crafts | Photography | Architecture and all visual arts.
Submit the exhibition 4 -8 image files / JPG 72 dpi / 800 pix /12,5 inches / 32 cm. along the work title, year, medium, size and price.

 

b. Multimedia

Video | Animation | Filmmaking

Details for the authors who have videos and animations that they wish to submit:

-  Format: MPG, MP4, Apple Quicktime, Microsoft Audio/Video -  -  Interlaced Format, Compuserve GIF.
-  Extension: .mpg, .mp4, .mov, .avi, .gif
-  Details: Highest possible quality required.

-  Time: no more than 5 minutes.
-  Resolution: 492x276 recommended.

-  The recommended size limit for video files is 25MB. When the size of a single file is bigger than this, some users may experience problems when downloading.

-  To ensure that the majority of potential users are able to access, view and playback the data, we recommends the submission of material in the specified preferred formats.

-  All submitted files should be properly labelled so that they directly relate to the file's content.

-  If the software used for the creation of your videos / animations cannot deliver one of the above formats, then please save in one of the accepted formats. Any alternative format supplied may be subject to conversion (if technically possible) prior to online publication.

Sound | Music

Details for the authors who have audio clips that they wish to submit:

-  Format: MP3.

-  Extension:.mp3.

-  Details: MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 format required.
-  Highest possible quality requiredUp to 10 MB per accepted entry.

-  Authors can optionally include a thumbnail image that they feel is representative of the content of the audio clip.

 

c. Writing

Essay | Poetry | Fiction
Authors can include up to 1500 words per accepted entry of fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, essays, literary criticism, book reviews, author interviews, letters and other writings.

How to Enter

 


G.A.M. |  Global Art Movement
Medialworks Interactive Art Contest

 

All competition entries are processed through our online online and attachment entry system.
G.A.M. | Global Art Movement is an all-art annual contest and online exhibition for fine arts, multimedia, experimental film, video, animation, new media, sound, music, essay, fiction and poetry in which all creative people are invited to contribute and participate.

The competition is open to all artists and is judged solely by visuals, medial files and writings submitted online or attachment by email sent to submit@medialworks.com.

Works that pass the selection will be exhibited one-year and entry into competition.
If you are not able to fell the PDF application form you can submit a letter that includes: 1.name, 2.country, 3.number of the works submitted, 4.the method of entry fee payment. That’s just a simple formality that helps jurors decisions.

Printed Call-for-Entry forms are no longer used.
 

The Selection

The selection is conducted by review of visuals submitted online or attachment

Submitters whose entries pass the selection are requested to submit online or attachment 4 ~ 8 pieces for contest and display and the application fee according to rules.

Awards of Excellence

-   Grand Prize: One artist per showroom will be awarded two-page in Masters Of Today Collective Art Book Series*. Award value $4,259 [each].
-   Prize of Excellence: Two artists per showroom will be awarded a one-page in  Masters Of Today Collective Art Book Series*. Award value $2,259 [each].
-   Honorable Prize: Honorable Award: 35 artists will be awarded Diploma of Excellence.

 

Publications | Catalogues

G.A.M. |  Global Art Movement the contemporary global art SD-multimedia | eBook publication will be released quarterly by Medialworks.

One work will be reproduced. One copy of G.A.M. | SD-multimedia | eBook will be provided to all submitters whose entries pass the selection, to museums, galleries, art fairs, cultural institutions, art dealers, art collectors and art lover worldwide.
 

Entry  Fee

If the works are accepted you will be asked to provide the entry fee of Euro 50 | US$70 for 4 works and Euro 10 | US$12 for each additional work one-year on display beginning with the date of the inclusion.

After choosing a form of payment you have access to PDF form summarizing what you entered.

-   Please note that G.A.M. | will be unable to publish or exhibit any work that does not provide adequate proof that all necessary rights clearances have been obtained.

- Award of Excellence certificates will be e-mailed after the publication date.
